Airwide Solutions, provider of next-generation mobile messaging and mobile internet infrastructure, has entered into a global reseller agreement with Nokia Siemens Networks, and will partner with the United Arab Emirates' second mobile operator, du. Under the terms of the agreement, Airwide and Nokia will help du to reduce the cost and time taken to bring mobile messaging services to market by automating the partner sign-up process, while maintaining the security of the core network.

Significance: du entered the mobile market in February 2007, and has taken almost 20% of the market. The operator needs to maintain its service quality levels whilst providing additional mobile services to ensure healthy competion with the incumbent, Etisalat.
